Job Summary: 1. Maintain and handle patient information and records in a confidential manner.
2. Accurately answer phone calls and greet patients in a friendly, energetic, personable, professional, and polite manner.
3. Direct questions to the appropriate department (medical records, medical assistants, referrals, etc.)
4. Register incoming new patients completely.
5. Greet incoming patients, check them in, collect copay, communicate provider delays,
6. Promote a positive department image when communicating with patients, departments, outside health care providers, physicians and the public.
7. Maintain current paperwork for patient care, keep appropriate copies available at all times.
8. Schedule patient appointments.
9. Open the building up in the morning and secure the building at the end of the day.
10. Respect and maintain privacy and dignity of patients.
11. Maintain cash drawer.
12. Participate in the development of individual department goals.
13. Identify and work to resolve department issues with supervisor and co-workers.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
15. Maintain compliance with current HIPPA regulations, maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
