A warm family in Chicago is seeking a Full Time Housekeeper/Nanny to support a peaceful, screen-free household with two young children (a toddler and an infant). Position Details : Location: Chicago, IL (Kenwood/Hyde Park area) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM (with flexibility to shift to earlier hours in the new year, advance notice provided) Start Date: September 2, 2025 (or sooner) Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00/hour $62,400 - $83,200/year gross paid on a W2 via an online payroll service Benefits: 10 paid vacation days 10 paid holidays 5 paid sick/personal days Health/Wellness stipend ($400.00/month) Key Responsibilities : Engage toddler in enriching, screen-free play after school (arts, crafts, physical play, reading, music). Provide attentive care for infant, including feeding, changing, napping, and maintaining routines (infant experience required). Log infants feeding, sleep and diaper schedules consistently and accurately Send periodic photo and text updates to the parent throughout the day , while staying fully present with the children (no phone-overuse) Support household tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens tidying, organizing, dishes, children's laundry, and basic family meal prep. Partner with the parent in a supportive low drama way to maintain a calm, structured, and nurturing home environment. Provide occasional overnight care and travel support (with advance notice) for work related or family trips). Ideal Candidate : Experienced with infants and toddlers, including feeding and early childhood routines Creative, energetic, and aligned with a no-screen approach to early childhood Emotionally grounded and dependable, able to stay calm and communicative in a dynamic home Proactive and positive - enjoys stepping in where needed, keeps the day flowing smoothly Comfortable taking direction from a parent-led household and understands professional boundaries Certified in infant and child CPR (or willing to obtain before start date) Medical training, Doula experience or familiarity with early childhood development is a plus Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus Comfortable working in a smoke-free, pet-free, peaceful townhouse setting Open to long-term commitment (at least one year) Open to occasional travel and overnight care with the family, with professionalism and flexibility Must be fully vaccinated- Flu, TDAP, Covid Additional Details Driving is not required for this role, candidates who drive are welcome. No vehicle provided. The family is open to candidates relocating for the role. $1500 relocation assistance stipend. Driving Record: A driver's license is required for most positions and a motor vehicle investigation is completed prior to placement. Criminal Background: A criminal background investigation is completed on all candidates prior to placement. Residency Requirement: All candidates must furnish proof of US citizenship or eligibility to work as a legal alien. Commitment: Typically, candidates must be willing to commit for at least 1 year with a family. Occasionally, temporary and summer placements are requested.
