The Cook is expected to follow detailed instructions, complete repetitive tasks, and work independently of others. They are responsible for ensuring the correct amounts and order of raw materials being added, monitoring, and documenting processes through handwritten and electronic means, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The Cook follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and works in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory, quality, and sanitation requirements. Skills Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and demonstrate verbal and written communication skills Locate, understand and follow the Process Instructions Sheets. Monitor cook & chill tanks Properly fill out and understand appropriate paperwork Perform proper quality checks in a timely manner Basic troubleshooting of normal operations, determine deviations and take appropriate actions Weighing Final Racks of WIP Product Issuing Product into PI Sheet in SAP Maintain a clean work area Follow GMP's Process & Procedures Work in hot/cold environment Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Able to follow FIFO (First in First Out) Other duties as assigned Requirements Experience in operating food processing machines Minimum computer skills Excel / SAP Practice proper GMP's and good housekeeping Ability to accurately follow written and/or verbal instructions Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred Basic math and computer skills Work in a safe and effective manner Good interpersonal and communication skills working in a team environment Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written
