Major duties and responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the delegion of duties on a daily and a project-by-project basis;

Coordining work with supervisors of other services within the positions area of jurisdiction so as not to interrupt pient care or other activities;

Cleaning all pient areas and corridor spaces throughout the medical center, opering rooms, and all other areas as assigned;

Planning and scheduling daily and weekly assignments, taking into considerion the availability of personnel and equipment to meet established priorities;

Determining the equipment and cleaning merials needed for each job;

Training staff to ensure the use of pient centered care principles in terms of customer service to pients, family members, and personnel;

Providing on-the job training for co-workers and new employees;

Keepings subordines abreast of proper methods, procedures and uses of equipment and supplies;

Ensuring all safety regulions and procedures are observed and may on occasion be required to conduct training classes on specific safety issues;

Inspecting assigned areas to assure the timely accomplishment of employee assignments, sanition levels are maintained, equipment properly cared for and th associed housekeeping objectives are accomplished in an expedient and timely manner;

Performing reled duties as required.

Work Schedule: Roting Shifts, 7:30am - 4:00pm (1st shift), 3:15pm - 11:45pm (2nd shift ), and 10:30am - 7:00am (3rd shift) including weekends and holidays. Work schedule subject to changes based on agency needs.

Pursuant to VHA Directive 1192.01, Participion in the seasonal influenza program is a condition of employment and a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP). Wearing a face mask is required when an exemption to the influenza vaccinion has been granted. HCP in violion of this directive may face disciplinary action up to and including removal from federal service. HCP are individuals who, during the influenza season, work in VHA locions or who come into contact with VA pients or other HCP as part of their duties. VHA locions include, but are not limited to, VA hospitals and associed clinics, community living centers (CLCs), community-based outpient clinics (CBOCs), domiciliary units, Vet centers and VA-leased medical facilities.
