Summary
The Busser is an essential part of our Food & Beverage team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in our dining areas while providing exceptional service to guests. They assist servers in delivering a memorable dining experience by ensuring that tables are clean, set, and ready for incoming guests, all while demonstrating a commitment to our standards of service and hospitality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Provides constant, attentive and friendly hospitality to guests.
Serve and refill complimentary beverages to guests.
Clear away dirty dishes and glassware from occupied/or unoccupied tables in a timely manner.
Complete all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure a clean, neat work area with adequate supply levels.
Organize the storage areas, ensuring that supplies such as napkins, clean plates, glassware, and utensils are readily available
Able to maintain a positive and professional team atmosphere with fellow staff.
Relay any complaints, problems or positive remarks to Food and Beverage Shift Manager or Shift Supervisor.
Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
Assist in other projects, as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 18 years of age
Completion of Orientation and safety training
Additional trainings as assigned
Black nonslip shoes
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred and/or one to three months related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. RBS certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino. Food handler's permit from a relevant government agency. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
Physical Demands
The physical requirements outlined here reflect the essential tasks an employee must be able to perform to successfully carry out the duties of this role. While on the job, employees will regularly be required to stand for extended periods, often up to eight hours at a time; use their hands for activities such as gripping, handling, or feeling; and reach with their arms. They may also need to taste or smell as part of their responsibilities. Frequent communication, both speaking and listening, is essential, along with the ability to walk throughout the workday. Employees must be capable of lifting and/or moving objects weighing up to 55 pounds. The position also requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus as necessary.
