Job Title: Housekeeper
Department: Housekeeping
Pay Rate: $12.00
Hours: 8:00am- 4:00pm (Monday- Friday, Weekends & Holidays off)

Summary:
To provide the skilled support services necessary for the proper housekeeping of the Independent Living Resident living quarters, staff offices, lounge areas, restrooms, activity rooms, and other common areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Clean Independent Living Resident rooms, staff offices, Dining Room, lounge areas, restrooms, activity rooms, and other common areas using prescribed and established methods and procedures for vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning.
Operate floor maintenance equipment used to vacuumshampoo carpet.
Apply prescribed procedures for infection control as related to housekeeping functions.
Report equipmentfixture malfunctionsfailures for repair.
Assure housekeeping supplies are stored in an orderly manner.
Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, push, pull & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties.
Participate in all In-Service meetings as assignedrequired.
Responsible to placegive proper warnings of hazardous conditions when cleaning, scrubbing, mopping,vacuuming floors.
Responsible for notifying higher authority when hazardous conditions are presentwhen equipment is unsafein need of repair.
Responsible for guardingprotecting facility property within the realm of housekeeping operationotherwise.
Responsible for safeguarding all confidential information.
Responsible to perform assigned duties without immediate supervision.
May be assigned to supervise other housekeepers of lessor seniorityexperience.
Responsible for maintaining a positive attitude, full cooperation, and congenial association with residents, resident's families, other departmental employees, inspectors, and vendors.
Follow all Spanish Cove and departmental policies and procedures. Comply with the Employees Code of Ethics.
Work overtime in case of emergency.
