Job DetailsWe are seeking a full-time AM Pastry Assistant for our expanding French restaurant in Santa Monica. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn while creating modern interpretations of French classics, including St. Honore, seasonal fruit tarts, laminated breads, gelato, and sorbet.
We are a high-end modern French restaurant with a small team focused on creating amazing products for our guests. We aim to create a fun, dynamic, and innovative atmosphere in our kitchen. You will be working closely with our Pastry Chef and the Management Team.
The candidate should have a good attitude, can work independently, a strong work ethic, professional training and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Make pastry items according to pre-established recipes
- Decorate pastries in a consistent style
- Follow portion standards
- Maintain inventory of prepped ingredients
- Properly label and store ingredients
- Keep kitchen area and tools clean
Requirements and Qualifications
- Pastry-making experience
- The ability to stand for long periods of time
- Basic math skills
- Attention to detail
- A sense of urgency
- AM schedule with flexibilty, especially during the holidays
Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $23.00)
