Summary of position
Under direction and supervision of the City Maintenance Manager, this position performs maintenance of multi-modal facilities including the Posse Grounds Bike Skills Park, and other facilities within the Sedona Trails & Pathways System (ST&PS); and to operate and maintain a variety of maintenance equipment. This position is anticipated to be scheduled for less than 20 hours per week on average.
Minimum qualifications
Experience
3 years minimum experience in trail building and path maintenance, and 5 years of experience on heavy equipment such as backhoe, excavator, skid steer, dozer, or loader.
Training
high school diploma or GED is required
Licenses and Certifications
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a State of Arizona driver's license, within two months of hire.
Satisfactory driving record.
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, any combination of or single certification of the following: Trail Building Professional Certification, Trail Technician Program, Trail Master Certification, and Trail Skills Training, within six months of hire.
Awesome benefits
Arizona State Retirement benefits may be activated if the employee is hired to work more than twenty hours per week.
For every thirty hours worked, one hour of PTO time is allotted.
