Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook sauteed menu items according to standardized recipes and plating guidelines
Operate saute station during service, ensuring timely and consistent food quality
Properly set up and stock station with necessary supplies before each shift
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the saute station throughout service
Monitor food stock and communicate low inventory levels to chef or supervisor
Work with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and storage
Assist with prep work and cleaning duties as assigned
Adapt to changes in menu and service flow as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience as a saute cook or line cook in a high-volume kitchen
Knowledge of sauteing techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment
Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking temperatures and timing
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Understanding of food safety guidelines (ServSafe certification is a plus)
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
Manual dexterity for handling knives and kitchen tools
