About the Role:

As a Server at The Courtyard at Centerville, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents and guests within a public administration setting. Your primary focus will be to provide attentive, courteous, and efficient service, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and valued. You will be responsible for accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any special dietary needs or preferences. This role requires collaboration with kitchen staff and management to maintain smooth operations and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents, guests, and team members.
  • Basic math skills to handle transactions and orders accurately.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a healthcare, senior living, or public administration dining environment.
  • Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification.
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special nutrition needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat residents and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items and ingredients.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serve meals and beverages efficiently while ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or special requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down dining areas for meal service.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as required by public administration standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and timely service during peak hours.
