The Server Assistant / Food Runner is the telecommunication line in the restaurant; their communication style needs to be concise, clear, and courteous. Server Assistant / Food Runner need to be knowledgeable about all aspects of the restaurant and city: food, beverage, service standards, local attractions, entertainment, etc. If they don’t know an appropriate response, they will seek it. Server Assistant / Food Runner at FORTH Atlanta will be guidebooks not only for the restaurant but for the city. They will be snappy with their knowledge, quick on their feet, and calm of mind and body. They will constantly strive to expand their knowledge and willingly share with other staff members to ensure the strongest team possible.

Position Summary

The Mini Bar Attendant is responsible for stocking, replenishing, and maintaining all in-room mini bar items in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, ensuring accuracy in guest billing, cleanliness, and compliance with hotel standards. This role supports guest satisfaction by providing prompt service, ensuring product availability, and maintaining accurate records for revenue control.

Key Responsibilities

Stocking & Replenishment

  • Restock and rotate mini bar items in guest rooms according to par levels.
  • Replace expired, damaged, or missing products.
  • Check for proper product presentation and ensure items are arranged neatly.

Inventory & Billing

  • Record all consumed items accurately in the point-of-sale (POS) or mini bar management system.
  • Maintain daily and weekly inventory reports.
  • Ensure accurate posting of charges to guest accounts.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor of replenishment needs.

Cleanliness & Maintenance

  • Ensure mini bar units are clean, operational, and set to correct temperature.
  • Report any mini bar malfunctions or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage and service areas.

Guest Interaction

  • Greet guests politely if encountered in rooms and respect their privacy.
  • Respond to guest requests for additional mini bar items promptly.
  • Communicate any guest preferences or feedback to the appropriate department.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all hotel policies, including health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Adhere to cash handling and inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous hospitality or F&B experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control and POS systems a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional, courteous, and discreet in guest interactions.
  • Basic math and recordkeeping skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Performance Metrics

  • Accuracy of billing and inventory reports.
  • Timeliness of replenishment and guest service.
  • Compliance with cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Guest satisfaction scores related to mini bar service.
