A skilled and enthusiastic Barista is needed to join the team, creating delicious beverages and building connections with customers.
The Job
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty creations, following strict quality standards.
Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment.
Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments efficiently using the POS system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Educate customers on menu options, coffee varieties, and suggest drinks based on their preferences.
Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
Qualifications and skills
Previous barista or cafe experience is preferred, though training is available for motivated individuals with a passion for coffee.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a positive and friendly demeanor.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently during busy periods.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring quality in every cup.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, and weekends, no evening shifts. these are 4 to 5 hour shifts.
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation is a plus, but not required.
Benefits
Competitive hourly wage + tips... $20/hour to start PLUS tips which add another $15-$20 PER HOUR .
