Overview
Role: BRICK Buffalo is looking for a Food Service to work part-time. The role will work from 7am to 1pm Monday thru Friday (30 hours a week). The ideal candidate loves to work with students and has a passion for delivering great service to their school community.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Morning Duties
- Prep breakfast for all classrooms.
- Deliver breakfast to all classrooms by 7:15 a.m.
- Collect breakfast bins from classrooms.
- Record the number of students who ate breakfast.
- Clean the kitchen after breakfast service.
- Prepare for lunch service.
- Prepare snacks for students.
Lunch Duties
- Prep lunch trays and serve students.
- Record the number of students who ate lunch.
- Break down boxes and remove trash/recycling.
- Deliver snacks to classrooms.
- Prep breakfast items for the following morning.
- Clean the kitchen after lunch service.
Daily / Weekly / Monthly Duties
- Check and record temperatures of food, beverages, and bleach water levels.
- Call in milk order by Wednesday before 9:00 a.m.
- Take inventory of breakfast, snack, lunch, and supplies; order items from BPSD as needed.
- Report daily breakfast and lunch numbers to BPSD.
- Additional Duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current authorization to work in the United States - A candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to some work late nights and weekends.
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a capacity to remain calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills.
