Job DetailsJOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 3 years in a culinary / cashier role, preferably in a high-volume or prestigious hospitality environment. Have fundamental kitchen skills with an emphasis on quality, creativity, and presentation. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of local and state food safety regulations. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position will be a hybrid role that will consist of multiple outlets and being able to adapt to various roles. 1 shift per week will be in our Cafe which will require computer / kitchen skills. 1 shift per week will be in our Carryout function helping to pack orders and ringing in order. Answering phone and assisting where needed. The other shift will be ideally in the kitchen working in our cold area making salads etc. This is a PT role which will not exceed 24 hours per week.
JOB DUTIES:
- Communicate and execute any instructions or special requests from the Executive Chef promptly and accurately.
- Monitor and uphold food quality standards set by the Executive Chef.
- Ensure every food product served to guests is of sound quality, meets taste expectations, and adheres to presentation standards.
- Through our Carryout section Expedite food orders efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and coordination with the wait staff.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in food service promptly to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Uphold all rules, regulations, and policies established by the Womans Athletic Club, particularly those pertaining to food safety, hygiene, and kitchen conduct.
- Ensure adherence to local City and State hygiene regulations and maintain certification for food handling and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the kitchen, adhering to proper sanitation and safety practices.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in good working order and notify the engineering department of any maintenance needs.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry kitchen supplies or equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $22.00)
