A well-known restaurant group in the Sumter area is looking for its next talented Sous Chef! If you have experience working in a scratch, full-service kitchen and excel at leading teams, we want to speak with you!
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Assist Executive Chef with daily culinary operations
- Work hands-on with staff to ensure the highest food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Ensure food and labor costs are in line with budgets
- Assist Executive Chef with staffing/scheduling and other administrative tasks
- Manage the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen
Sous Chef Qualifications:
- 2+ years of previous experience in a similar role
- Culinary degree preferred, equivalent experience will be considered
- Scratch kitchen experience in a full-service, independent restaurant a must
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Staff accountability and upholding restaurant standards
- Proven track record of controlling costs and managing labor
- Solid understanding of sales and cost management
