Sous Chef Qualifications:

  • Experience in Fast-Paced, High-Volume Upscale/Fine Dining (min 3 years)
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming attitude while at work to all guests and team members
  • Ability to produce a quality and consistent product, executing all the details, and focusing on daily operations
  • Plate presentation and standards
  • Organization and cost & product control are essential, in addition to ensuring the kitchen meets all health department standards for safe food handling

Sous Chef Experience:

  • 3-4 years experience as a member of a culinary management team in a hotel, boutique hotel, or high-end fine dining
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and knowledge of Aloha POS is preferred
  • Willing to lead by example and have the ability to work independently and exercise judgment to resolve personnel and production issues
  • Prior experience as an Executive Sous Chef and a degree from a culinary arts training program or equivalent life experience preferably in a high-end, fine-dining establishment
