As Sous-Chef, youll collaborate with the Executive Chef and the rest of the team to develop systems, train kitchen staff, and foster a professional, positive, and consistent kitchen culture.
What Youll Do:
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure high-quality, consistent food
- Create and maintain prep systems, production schedules, and service flow
- Ensure cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organization are always top-notch
- Assist with managing inventory, food costs, and vendor relationships
- Support a smooth, collaborative relationship with front-of-house leadership
- Be a hands-on presence in the kitchen during service, leading by example
What Were Looking For:
- At least 2 years of kitchen leadership experience (Sous-Chef or similar role)
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- Experience with new restaurant openings is a plus
- Solid understanding of BOH systems, ordering, and cost control
- Calm under pressure, with a solutions-first mindset
- ServSafe certified or willing to get certified before opening
