Guest Services is a fun and highly interactive work environment. The Guest Services Associate is responsible for informing guests of all available services and efficiently selling the appropriate products. Guest Services Associate duties include detailed knowledge of Ticketing, Ski School, Children’s Center, Rental Shop and other area services as well as Point of Sale operation. Staff is required to handle cash and perform sales transactions in a professional and well organized manner. This position requires constant guest interaction. Applicants must possess a positive attitude and work well with others in a sometimes-stressful environment. Prior Point of Sale/computer and cash handling experience preferred.

Distinguishing Characteristics
This is an entry level position requiring general understanding of the use of a Point of Sale computer system, the capacity to learn all of the Resort’s products and offerings, as well as a detailed understanding of cash handling rules and the ability to execute excellent Guest Service. This position requires the individual to work as part of a team to ensure Resort Guests enjoy the best possible experience through the use of excellent Guest Service, product knowledge, accurately representing offerings, efficient point of sale operation and a developed understanding of the winter sports available at Dodge Ridge.
- Operate front-line Point of Sale system, selling lift tickets, lessons, rentals and packages.
- Demonstrate an on-going commitment to delivering excellent customer service. This position requires constant Guest interaction.
- Answer Guest’s questions accurately and professionally.
- Guest Services Sales Associates must become familiar with all products and services available at Dodge Ridge and accurately recommend and sell these products.
- Accurately and efficiently enter Guest information into the Point of Sale screen, including customer information, product selection and payment options.
- Must ensure all guest forms are filled out correctly and completely including required signatures.
- Guest Services Associates must follow all cash handling rules and are each responsible for all transaction performed under their login including performing accurate end of shift cash-outs.
- Perform all requested tasks or duties in an efficient and accurate manner, providing Dodge Ridge Guest’s with exceptional service.
- Attend weekly training and safety meetings.
- Adhere to posted weekly work schedule and be prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Assist with other departments and duties as requested.
- Assist with snow shoveling when required.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated faculty in dealing with co-workers in a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented manner; ability and willingness to interact with customers in the same manner
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to be consultative, to follow directions, and follow through in a timely and complete manner on tasks and assignments
- Prior POS, sales and cash handling experience preferred
- Excellent organizational skills, possess ability to work in a fast paced, task-oriented environment and maximize use of time
- Ability to remain calm and tactful under extreme pressure.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Must be well groomed and present a good public image.
- Heavy and awkward lifting of up to 50 lbs.
