A Dishwasher is responsible for maintain cleanliness in a kitchen by washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen items. Operate dishwashing machine or clean dishes by hand. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area, including floors, counters and sinks. Ensure that all dishes and utensils are stored properly.
2. Waste Management: Empty trash and clean waste bins. Dispose of garbage, recycling and compost properly. Assist in sorting waste to meet health and safety standards.
3. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain dishwashing equipment in good working conditions. Report any malfunctions or necessary repairs to supervisor. Clean and sanitize dishwashing equipment and areas daily.
4. Assisting Kitchen Staff: Help prepare basic food items such as cutting vegetables, sorting vegetables or produce, cleaning tables in lobby, refill kitchen supplies like utensils, plates and glassware during busy shifts.
5. Adhering to Health and safety standards: Following all health and safety regulations regarding food handling, cleanliness and personal hygiene. Ensure that the kitchen meets local health departments standards and be able to handle chemicals.
Skills: Attention to detail, physical stamina, time management, teamwork, basic equipment knowledge , adaptability.
