The Dallas Gun Club (DGC) has been in business since 1946, with a few location changes over the years. Their purpose remains unchanged - promoting and encouraging the safe use and handling of firearms, promoting shooting sports, and sponsoring tournament shooting. DGC offers a variety of shotgun shooting disciplines, as well as rifle and pistol ranges, including Skeet, Sporting Clays, Helice, 5-Stand, Grid, Powder Pigeon, Bunker Trap, and American Trap. As a non-profit members-only club, DGC provides a wide range of shooting options for members, guests, and the public. Additionally, the club hosts annual competitions covering all shotgun shooting disciplines, such as Skeet, Sporting Clays, FITASC, and Helice.

Job Description

Up to a $500 Probationary Bonus

Our exclusive private club features multiple clay-target venues dedicated to shotgun sports. As a Maintenance worker, your responsibilities include supporting the day-to-day outdoor operation of each shooting venue and reporting to the Operations Manager. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed satisfactorily and on time. Our outdoor operational venues include Sporting Clays, Skeet, Bunker Trap, Helice, 5-Stand, and Rifle Range. This job combines customer service, light maintenance, and general labor in an outdoor setting subject to the elements and physical labor. We are searching for a renaissance person who can thrive in a diverse work environment. The ability to work well in a group and independently is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain all target throwing traps. Proactively loads all trap machines to prevent depletion of targets. Loads all trap machines at the end of business each day
Restocks target trap houses and storage facilities. Cleans and organizes target and ammunition inventory in all stock locations.
Assist with the course and facility improvements.
Cut lawn using hand, power, or riding mower, trim, and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.
Must have excellent customer/member service skills.
Responsible for discussing basic safety information with members and guests to ensure that they have a positive experience.
Must have an open mind and be aware of their surroundings.
Must have good communications skills to work as a team and enhance the member's and guests experience.
Performs groundskeeping and custodial duties as well.
Returns shooting related equipment (pull cords, traps, batteries, controllers, microphones, shade canopies, umbrellas to designated areas as specified in Open and Close, Start/Shut-Down procedures
Removes all debris (trash, empty hulls, etc.) from all shooting venues no less than the end of business each day and as instructed
Inspects grounds for cleanliness and organization. Picks up all debris, trash, hulls, and targets.
Assists members with target counting cards or other designated forms of Customer Service.
Supports compliance with Bylaws, Club Rules, Policies, and Operating Guidelines
Performs daily Open and Close/Start-Up and Shut-Down procedures for all assigned venues
Inspects specified equipment performing preventive maintenance or repairs.
Assists with physical inventory counts as needed
Other duties as assigned

Professional image, presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
Ability to provide high level, professional customer service in a private club environment to the point of obsession. Addresses all members and guests as Mr., Mrs., or Ms. and their last name.
Possess extreme attention to the details.
Stays calm under pressure. Prioritizes multiple projects and multitasks with ease.
Works under both direct and limited supervision
Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Duties:

Must be able to lift boxes up to 65 lbs. regularly
Prepared to work in all weather conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
