We are seeking a reliable and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team in a fast-paced corporate kitchen environment . This role is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to standardized recipes and production guidelines to serve employees, clients, and guests. The ideal candidate is dependable, efficient, and maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety.
Job Location: Downtown, Seattle, WA
Work Schedule & Environment:
Full-time position: Monday - Friday, early morning (6AM - 8-hour shift)
Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends for catered events
Fast-paced kitchen setting with frequent standing, bending, and exposure to hot equipment and food
Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and plate meals according to daily menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines
Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (grills, ovens, fryers, steamers, etc.)
Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations (eg, HACCP, ServSafe standards)
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and consistent food quality during breakfast, lunch, and special events
Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory, including checking for freshness and proper labeling
Follow portion control standards and minimize food waste
Support catering and company events as needed
Adhere to corporate kitchen policies regarding uniforms, safety, and sanitation
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or culinary leadership
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen or food service environment
Basic knife skills and understanding of commercial kitchen operations.
Must have a knife kit
Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred:
Experience in a corporate or institutional kitchen (eg, tech campus, university, hospital)
Culinary degree or certification
ServSafe certification or equivalent
Physical Demands:
This job may require extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, twisting and kneeling for up to 8 hours.
May also lift up to 50lbs.
