Facility Maintenance Technician

Remedy staffing is partnered with a personal care product company in Tonawanda that is in search for a first shift Facility Maintenance Technician.

Shift: Monday through Friday 7 am to 3:30pm

Pay: $20 per hour

Job Duties:

Performs maintenance & repairs related to building, grounds and building systems, in one or more areas such as electrical, plumbing, painting and grounds-keeping.

Establishes, monitors, and carries out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for building, building systems and grounds. Ensures building and systems meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies. Makes recommendations for major repairs and purchases to supervisor.

Performs painting, mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repairs such as installing switches, replacing lights and other basic electrical repairs, applying paint and other finishes, repairing drywall and floors, disassembling and reassembling equipment, replacing sinks and toilets and applying finishing material as needed to maintain appearance.

Collects and removes garbage and recyclable materials and ensures the safe disposal of hazardous waste.

WareRequirements:

2-5 years of building systems and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at the same time
