Experienced Cook

We are looking for a skilled Cook with strong experience in a professional kitchen environment (not fast food). You must be confident in your ability to hit the ground running and handle high-volume service with consistency and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute meals off a set menu, including daily preparation of a starch, vegetable, and toppings for up to 125 people
• Perform full prep and cook-through from start to finish
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation of meals
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols
• Communicate clearly and effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and storing food supplies
• Operate and clean standard kitchen equipment such as ovens, steamers, grills, and slicers

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen (schools, hospitals, catering, etc.)
• Familiarity with batch cooking and prep for large groups
• Experience following dietary restrictions and special menus (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.)
• Strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques (roasting, sauteing, steaming, etc.)
• Ability to manage time and multiple tasks during peak service hours

Requirements:

• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Flexibility to adapt to menu changes or last-minute adjustments
