KYU is seeking a passionate and hardworking Line Cook to join our family! As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food and maintaining sanitation standards. We are looking for an experienced individual who can contribute to our talented team by following standard recipes and preparing high-quality meals. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role. Ultimately, you will play a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction and the growth of our restaurant.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and stock the station and kitchen.
  • Prepare various components of each menu item, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Follow instructions provided by the chef team.
  • Ensure that food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
  • Clean the prep areas and handle leftovers appropriately.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to cook menu items.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field, or 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently as part of a team.
  • Extensive experience working in busy restaurant environments.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts.
