Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This essential role ensures the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware and helps maintain a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in supporting the broader food service team and plays a vital role in delivering a positive dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:
Washing & Sanitizing:
Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand as needed.

Dish Area Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dishwashing station, including sweeping, mopping, and managing waste throughout the shift.

Machine Operation & Upkeep:
Operate and monitor dishwashing machines, ensuring proper temperature, water levels, and chemical use in accordance with safety and sanitation standards.

Stocking & Organization:
Return clean kitchenware to proper storage locations promptly to support kitchen efficiency and food preparation.

Waste Management:
Remove kitchen trash, recyclables, and food waste regularly, following proper waste disposal procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

Basic Food Prep Support:
Assist kitchen staff with simple prep tasks as needed, such as peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients, or assembling prep trays.

Safety & Compliance:
Follow all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations to ensure a clean and safe work environment.

Equipment Care:
Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance on dishwashing equipment and report any malfunctions promptly.

Kitchen Support:
Provide general cleaning and organizational support throughout the kitchen, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and maintain a positive team atmosphere.

Job Requirements:
Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus, but not required

Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness

Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Willingness to follow instructions and learn safety procedures

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
