Join Our Culinary Adventure!
At Gifted & Talented Academy, we believe that mealtime should be a delightful experience for our little ones! If you're a creative cook who loves working with kids and making healthy meals fun, we want YOU to join our team!
What You'll Do:
Whip up delicious, nutritious meals and snacks that make kids say "YUM!" and that meet nutritional guidelines of CACFP and state licensing, and accommodate dietary restrictions.
Get creative with colorful fruits, veggies, and fun presentations!
Keep our kitchen sparkling clean and organized-after all, a tidy kitchen is a happy kitchen!
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary.
Educate staff on proper food handling techniques and kitchen safety protocols.
Work with our amazing staff to make mealtimes joyful and exciting!
Cater to little foodies with dietary needs or allergies, ensuring everyone can enjoy the feast!
Participate in training sessions related to culinary skills, nutrition, and food safety.
What You Bring:
A passion for cooking and a love for healthy eating!
Previous cooking experience (bonus points for working with kids and knowledge of CACFP standards).
Experience with menu planning and preparation for large groups, particularly in a child care or educational setting is preferred.
A sprinkle of creativity and a dash of fun in the kitchen!
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Passion for working with children and promoting healthy eating habits.
Certification in food safety or culinary arts is desirable but not mandatory.
Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.
