Custodian I

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a temporary, part-time Custodian I to provide custodial and support services for all OMSI facilities, activities, and events. Custodial staff serve to help ensure that OMSI provides a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all guests and staff. This position is scheduled to work 20 - 29 hours per week, and will start as soon as possible and end October 31, 2025. Qualified candidates will have, but not limited to: Working knowledge of operating and maintaining custodial tools Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve custodial-related issues Ability to learn and follow safety and protocol regulations Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to adhere to confidentiality, protocol, and community agreements Ability to pivot between individual and team work Ability to model and support a positive team dynamic with paid and unpaid staff The Custodian I has an hourly pay of $18.40, and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: Accrue up to 2 weeks of sick time per year with no waiting period.
