Barista in Sausalito

Firehouse Coffee & Tea is looking for a part-time experienced barista with flexibility to working opening and closing shifts 3-4 days a week with availability on weekends. Experience is preferred but not required. Our ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and a "can do!" personality. We are family owned and operated and take great pride in serving our wonderful community here in Sausalito and all who come to visit us from far away lands. As a barista here you will be expected to adhere to all systems and procedures outlined for you by us in order to help us maintain the level of excellence our customers have had the pleasure of enjoying since 2017. We are looking forward to having the opportunity to bring the newest wave of baristas on board who will carry on the Firehouse tradition of Community, Quality, & Hospitaltiy.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, adhering to recipes and quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly and taking accurate orders.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including stocking and cleaning duties.
- Educate customers on coffee offerings and answer any questions they may have.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

- Previous barista experience preferred.
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and latte art is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
