Bartender / Server / Barback Poolside Food and Beverage Experience

Location: Freret St. New Orleans, LA

Position Type: Full-time

Job Overview: As a Server, Bartender or Barback, you will work closely with the Front of House team to maintain an engaging, efficient, hospitable, clean and organized work environment, contributing to the overall success of the service. Your role is essential in delivering the exceptional drinking and dining experiences that our guests will come to expect from Sunnies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Set up and stock service stations, pool, bar, and dining room areas with all necessary supplies, maintaining an organized and efficient work area.
- Ensure that food and drink is presented in a timely manner, coordinating with other kitchen staff to meet service demands.
- Monitor drink and food quality and presentation, helping make adjustments as necessary to meet Sunnies high standards.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Assist with daily prep tasks, including cleaning, rolling silverware, juicing, ingredients as needed.
- Clean and maintain bar and FOH equipment, tools, and workstations, ensuring everything is in proper working order.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required, including restocking supplies and cleaning the FOH area.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
- Perform all other duties, as assigned. .

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender, server, or barback or in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of steps of service, cocktails, wine, food, and health & safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality dining experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
- Standing for extended periods, often for the entire shift.
- Lifting and carrying items such as kegs, cases of wine and beer, bus tubs, and trays weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Bending, reaching, and stooping to perform tasks around the kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, cold, and humidity.
