The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing, setting up, maintaining, and taking down the daily breakfast service for hotel guests. This role ensures that the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and inviting while delivering friendly and efficient service. As part of a limited-service hotel, this position may also assist with light kitchen duties, inventory management, and occasional guest service support.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the daily breakfast buffet according to hotel standards and health & safety regulations.

• Greet guests warmly and provide assistance with breakfast items when needed.

• Monitor food and beverage levels, restocking as necessary throughout service.

• Keep breakfast area clean, organized, and presentable at all times, including tables, counters, floors, and equipment.

• Prepare basic food items (such as cutting fruit, baking pastries, or heating pre-prepared items) as required.

• Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines.

• Break down and clean up breakfast area at the end of service, properly storing food and equipment.

• Assist with inventory control by tracking usage and reporting needs for supplies and food orders.

• Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor with all guests, handling any questions or concerns promptly.

• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately.

• Occasionally assist front desk or housekeeping staff with light duties as needed in a limited-service hotel setting.

• Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.

• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices a plus.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

• Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.

• Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
