La Pharmacie du Vin and Cafe Stella are seeking a passionate and experienced Sommelier to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who has a deep love for wine and a desire to create an exceptional wine experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular wine tastings and staff training sessions to ensure a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team.
  • Provide exceptional wine service and recommendations to our guests, enhancing their dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to pair wines effectively with menu items.
  • Manage inventory, wine purchasing, and supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Organize and host wine events and tastings for patrons.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in the world of wine.
  • Support the food service team as needed, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality guest experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sommelier or in a similar role in a fine dining environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of wine, including regions, varietals, winemaking processes, and pairing principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to educate and engage customers and staff about wine.
  • Certified Sommelier or WSET qualification preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage inventory effectively.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
