Cosentino's Sunfresh #448 is seeking a friendly and efficient Deli Clerk to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving deli items. The 2pm - 9pm shifts offer a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, providing excellent customer service.
• Prepare and serve deli items, including slicing meats and cheeses, following established recipes and procedures.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register and point of sale (POS) system, demonstrating strong cash handling skills.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict sanitation guidelines and food safety protocols.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including cooking and assembling deli offerings.
• Merchandise deli products attractively to maximize sales.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through teamwork and effective communication.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and sanitation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• General knowledge of food preparation techniques.
• Working knowledge of cash register and point of sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Effective communication skills in the English language.
• Thorough knowledge of sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Experience with food safety and sanitation regulations.
