We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at Cosentino's Sunfresh #448. This role involves providing excellent customer service, accurately handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The ideal candidate should possess strong cash handling skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires working shifts from 2pm to 10:30pm.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Accurately operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash register functions.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling.
• Bag merchandise efficiently and assist customers with their purchases.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Answer customer questions and address concerns with a positive and helpful attitude.
• Stock merchandise near the checkout lanes, ensuring items are readily available.
• Utilize selling techniques to promote products and enhance sales.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills when interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth restaurant operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of cash register operation and cash handling procedures.
• General knowledge of basic arithmetic and general mathematics.
• Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Possess a positive attitude and a commitment to cleanliness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Experience with bagging merchandise.
