Job Summary
This part-time, hourly, position will coordinate and manage our School Nutrition Program (SNP) at both PPL's Alternative High Schools located in South Minneapolis. This position is also responsible for morning Front desk support at LNAS. Overall, this position will provide excellent customer service to guests, students, and staff while monitoring compliance and efficacy with our school lunch programs.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate, Manage and Implement our school food nutrition program
- Maintain state required school food nutrition certification/follow all Minnesota department of health food service requirements
- Enter data into multiple online databases to ensure data integrity and accuracy - audit/balance across all reporting systems.
- Onboard and provide ongoing support to our JAG student interns
Reception, Front Desk support at LNAS (Loring Nicollet Alternative School)
- Provide customer service to callers, visitors, guests, students and staff
- Answer and route telephone calls, respond to email inquiries
- Attend PPL trainings and events deemed appropriate
- Maintain inventory of supplies and order as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Analytical skills to compare data, design reports, and present results to partners
- Ability to develop and maintain detailed data reports and quantitative information
- Ability to work as a team member as well as independent, self-motivated staff member
- Excellent communication and presentations skills, both written and oral
- Proficient use of Microsoft office products, particularly Word and Excel. Advanced ability with Excel is a requirement.
- Interest in and aptitude towards data management is necessary
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will supervise student interns in partnership with their JAG instructors. Student interns will work as lunch and breakfast servers in our school lunch programs
Education and/or Experience
- Certified School Food Nutrition preferred
- Professional youth work experience partnered with clerical or customer service experience
- Previous experience in database management, service delivery, Specific experience with CLiCS, Workforce 1, and/or MPS system.
Hours
- Part time, Non-Exempt; 20-30 hours per week
- Follows the students calendar, including holidays.
- From August 18, 2025 (or So) - July 8, 2026.
- No Nutrition hours are offered/needed during the student summer break.
- Based on performance return contracts are offered in the spring of 2026

Pay
$22-$25 per hour DOQ
