JOB DESCRIPTION
General Responsibilities:
The position involves preparing and serving drinks to the members / guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and ensuring high-quality service in line with Dutchman’s Pipe Club Standards. The role requires attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide luxury and friendly Food & Beverage service to our members / guests in a courteous and professional manner in bar, restaurant venues, and special events
- Welcome and acknowledge all members by names / guests according to the Dutchman’s Pipe Club standards.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Complete opening and closing duties and follow all Dutchman’s Pipe Club safety policies.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of our members / guests by ensuring all supplies are readily available before and during service
- Maintain a clean, safe and accident-free environment
- Setup, clean, and break-down bar venues and maintain equipment and supplies, reporting any issues to management
- Check in advance how busy the day is expected to be and work with the team to make sure the right amount of supplies are ready for service.
- Adhere to sanitation and cleaning plan throughout the bar area and proper preparation for internal and official Health and Cleanliness Inspections
- Ensure all cocktails and beverages produced are made with care, well-presented and consistently search for ways to improve the beverage program.
- Demonstrate full knowledge of the POS (Point of Sale) system to accurately input orders, process payments, and manage tabs efficiently.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menu to confidently answer guest questions, make recommendations, and ensure accurate order taking.
- Develop a weekly cocktail / mocktail special.
- Process all payments at the end of shift.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong customer service skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor and the ability to interact positively with guests.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments, contributing to a positive and cohesive work environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift heavy objects repeatedly during shift hours, demonstrating physical endurance and resilience.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
