Summary:

Taverna 1821 is a pop up concept in Fulton Market area of the West Loop. We welcome all and invite our guests to feel the nostalgia of old Greece with authentic dishes and fun cocktails! With our open doors and patio seating we are a vibrant part of our neighborhood. We are seeking to a part-time bartending to round out our amazing team!

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Positive attitude

  • Great customer care and keen restaurant instincts
  • Willingness to adhere to all steps of service and guidelines set forth by the company
  • Bar knowledge including classic cocktail builds
  • Comfort will craft bartending (versus batch) - all cocktails will be made to order
  • Baseline knowledge of classic cocktail recipes and a willingness to learn about Greek food, wines, beer, and spirits
  • Ability to manage service tickets and patrons at once
  • Ability to multi-task in general
  • Professional and polished presentation

Job Duties:

- Great customer care and keen restaurant instincts
- Working Knowledge of steps of service
- General Familiarity of proper place settings
- Ability to commit to Taverna 1821 Training
- Assist with running of the shifts as needed

General:
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Ability to use stairs in a proficient manner

Job Schedule:

Afternoons and evenings plus Saturday Lunch
Tuesday- Saturday hours of operation
6 - 9 hour shifts depending on day and shift
part-time 2-3 shifts a week * SATURDAY 11am-5PM REQUIRED availability*
Can vary slightly due to weather and buyouts
