Building Maintenance Technician

Spherion Staffing is looking for a Building Maintenance Technician in the Bismarck, ND area. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performance of the day-day maintenance and operations of facilities and grounds. Qualified applicants must have experience in the following areas: HVAC, EPA Universal, Boilers License and/or Pool Certification.

Pay $22-26/hour DOE
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
*May be required to work extended hours and weekends when needed. Will be scheduled to work on-call evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities:
-Complete assigned service requests related to repairs and upkeep of properties. This includes areas of heating, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, flooring and other general repairs
-Ensure quality and timely completion of construction and repair projects.
-Provide ongoing input on continued property improvements for budget consideration.
-Ensure the internal and external appearance of all buildings and grounds, which may include removing debris and weeds, and reporting maintenance needs
-Maintain building and grounds in good, clean, working order
-Prepare units for rental according to company standards
-Perform and direct on-site operations within the budget limitations as discussed with Community Manager
-Report regularly to Community Manager on projected expenses as authorized by manager for maintenance and service
-In the event of an emergency, the maintenance worker will be expected to work overtime at time and a half compensation

Qualifications:
-High School or equivalent education with one to two years??? related experience and/or training preferred or a combination of relevant work experience and education is required
-Must have experience in the following areas: HVAC, EPA Universal, Boilers License and/or Pool Certification
-Ability to provide training and support on-site to other maintenance team members
-Demonstrated support for MetroPlains Management maintenance procedures and policies
-Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people
-A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
-Customer service skills are highly desirable
