The Role
An entrepreneurial mother is seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive part-time live-in weekend nanny/housekeeper to care for her 4-year-old son and ensure the home remains clean, organized, and welcoming.

The role will require arrival on Friday evenings and departure on Sunday afternoons. During the weekend, you will provide attentive care for the child when he is not with his mother, managing all aspects, including morning and evening routines, engaging in play and activities, and accompanying him on outings.

Household responsibilities will include keeping the home tidy and organized, managing laundry, assisting with events such as birthdays and special occasions, caring for the family dog, helping with grocery and supply shopping, greeting guests, and preparing simple, wholesome meals for the family and guests when needed.

Reporting to: The Principal and Family Office
Start:ASAP
Location: Currently based in Locust Valley (Long Island), as of next spring/summer will be based on the Upper East Side of NYC (candidate can be based in NYC for now and the family will pay for the commute to Locust Valley)

Hours:Saturday 7am - 7pm, Sunday 7am 5/6pm (arriving Friday afternoon/evening; leaving Sunday evening; flexibility in hours required)

Salary:$35-$40/hour, dependent on experience (Guaranteed 20 hours paid per weekend)
Benefits: main federal holidays as offered by the family that may fall on a weekend day will either be paid overtime rate or offered a day off, as decided by the family

The Family:Mother and 4-year-old son
The Staff: Executive assistant at family office, and a full-time housekeeper
Pets:one dog
Travel:Between Locust Valley and NYC, as required by the family (if candidate is willing and able, theres potential to travel to Florida, and other locations domestically)

Accommodation: A bedroom ensuite in Locust Vally; and in NYC will be a bedroom ensuite with a small kitchenette

Childcare
Efficiently managing weekend schedules
Disciplining the child when appropriate in a manner consistent with parents philosophy
Teaching and promoting excellent manners
Knowing when to step-in and step-out
Restocking necessary childcare items

Household Cleaning / Day to Day Management
Cleaning and tidying throughout the house: vacuuming, mopping, dusting and wiping surfaces, cleaning bathrooms, wiping windows, etc.
Looking after the plants and flowers throughout the property
Liaise with executive assistant/family office as needed
Report damage, stains, burnt-out bulbs, or unusual activity to the executive assistant/family office

Laundry & Clothing Care
Assist with the laundry, ironing/steaming
Organizing dry cleaning as appropriate, and arranging collections and drop offs (taking to dry cleaners as needed)

Supporting the Family & Team
Ensuring all guests are always well looked after.
Preparing for family travel, assisting with packing and unpacking luggage.
Spending weekends in the Hamptons as required by the family
Provide basic care for the family dog, including daily feeding, ensuring fresh water is available, letting the dog out for regular bathroom breaks, as well as taking him to vet appointments when required.
Ordering and shopping for supplies and toiletries as needed and filing petty cash receipts
Sorting mail and opening packages.

Cooking
Where required cooking/preparing simple meals for the family and guests.
Making snacks for the child.
Purchasing groceries and necessary ingredients for these meals.

Requirements
Legally able to work within the United States.
Required to be flexible to work between Locust Valley (Long Island) and Manhattan
Not required, but a major bonus if the candidate is willing and able to travel domestically
Proven similar childcare and housekeeping work experience for a HNW private residence (at least three years)
English proficiency (read, write, and speak)
Must love children
CPR/First Aid certified (willing to get certified)
Must know how to swim
Bonus if has a valid drivers license and is comfortable driving (not a requirement, but ideal to have; would have access to a house vehicle)
Excellent references required.
Willingness to undergo background checks and sign a non-disclosure agreement.
