This is the setting for Keswick Hall, an impressive 80-room luxury boutique hotel nestled on 600 acres which recently re-opened in 2021 after renovations. Home to the prestigious Keswick Golf Club, Marigold Restaurant, by Jean-Georges, a new luxury spa and sports and aquatics center.
Part Time: Evenings, Weekends
In-Room Dining Server’s responsibility is to offer prompt, correct, precise and friendly service while accommodating guests’ specific requests and ensuring timeliness of service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.
- Communicates guest orders including any special needs or requests using the hotel’s point-of-sales system and checks completed orders with the guest’s original order; transport items to the guest in a timely manner.
- Anticipates guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
- Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
- Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 0-2 years of food service experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Certified in CPR, First Aid AED
