POSITION OVERVIEW This position will closely coordinate with operations to support the needs of the plant. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and repair root causes of equipment failure are essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains and repairs process equipment, mechanical systems and associated equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, tanks, valves, vessels, and piping systems Troubleshoot and repair equipment by using an analytical step-by-step process, standard maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. Coordinates with equipment owners and manufacturing groups to support needs of the plant Reads and understands blueprints and equipment drawings Responds to off-shift call-ins and works overtime and unscheduled hours as may be needed TEAM Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Associates degree or High School diploma (or equivalent) and achievement of a 4 or higher in the following Work Keys: Locating Information Applied Technology Millwright/Mechanical experience in a chemical plant or other industrial facility preferred REQUIRED SKILLS Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance work process and maintenance best practices Demonstrated ownership and drive to improve existing systems and processes Strong bias to act on facts and data driven logic to develop creative solutions Demonstrated proficiency using dial indicators, micrometers, feeler gauges and other precision tools Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to be certified with oxy-acetylene torch, TIG and stick welding Knowledge of laser alignment instruments desired Demonstrated ability to act as pipefitter Ability to complete multiple tasks accurately and timely with minimal direct supervision Basic computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office, etc.) Knowledge of quality systems (ISO:9001) and requirements able to ensure consistency of operations within the established quality system guidelines. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT Ability to meet all physical requirements of an industrial environment including ability to climb, use ladders, walk, sit, stand, bend, etc. Use of hands to fingers Good hand/eye coordination and dexterity Lifting up to 50 lbs. Use of ladders/stairs. Tolerant of working at heights Ability to wear a respirator and breathing air Ability to work indoors and outdoors in seasonal environmen
