The Position

Maintenance Repair Workers perform semi-skilled work in the building and mechanical trades to repair, construct, and/or maintain buildings, facilities and equipment.

This recruitment is for the position of Maintenance Repair Worker II within the Department of Administration, State Public Works Division, Buildings and Grounds Section, based in Carson City. The role is under the supervision of a Facility Supervisor III. The Maintenance Repair Worker II is responsible for performing a range of semi-skilled tasks across one or more building or mechanical trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, welding, and equipment maintenance. While routine duties are carried out independently, more complex assignments are typically completed alongside a journey-level tradesperson or Maintenance Repair Specialist. Applicants must possess a valid Nevada driver?s license at the time of appointment and be capable of supervising and working with inmate labor.
