Ensures Spa guests have access to all of the services and amenities that will make the Spa experience extraordinary. This includes booking appointments, offering services, experiences, and products. The concierge handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

Essential Job Functions:

• Possesses exceptional local knowledge to be able to deliver, quickly and seamlessly, most guest requests without having to research options.

• Maintains and nurtures contacts with local vendors and service providers.

• Maintains a deep knowledge of hotel and club services and current events.

• Maintain the highest levels of professional performance, conduct, client service, safety, and hygiene in work areas and throughout the SPA.

• Maintain thorough knowledge of and adherence to all procedures, protocols, and standards of Hotel and SPA.

• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge and skills in all spa services, tools, equipment, and products offered.

• Effectively inquire, assess, inform, explain, educate and provide treatment addressing guest/client specific needs and concerns, and, when applicable, the contraindications restricting or preventing treatment.

• Effectively advocate The Spa guest/client additional services and products of interest or benefit to them.

• Participate in and successfully complete all training, education, and certifications required by The Spa.

• Offers and books Spa services quickly and efficiently according to established standards.

• Maintains a deep knowledge of Spa services, products, and promotions.

• Assures information about the Spa is updated, current, and readily available.

• Provides appointment information and confirmations. Provides pre-arrival itineraries as necessary.

• Meets, greets and check-in /out all Spa guests.

• Handles guest requests in a timely and accurate manner.

• Utilizes the appropriate technology to track and invoice appointments and product purchases.

• Maintains contacts with local vendors and service providers as needed.

• Complies with all Work Rules, Safety Standards and Standards of Conduct as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

• Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

• May be assigned other duties at the discretion of management.

Qualifications/Skills:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and /or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential:

1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding.

2. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.

3. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.

4. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.

5. Ability to work a flexible schedule (AM, PM, Weekends & Holidays).

6. Demonstrate previous spa concierge and/or other spa work experience and strong work ethic and reliability.

7. Demonstrate strong customer service and/or sales experience and/or ability to promote and sell services and products.

8. Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm, motivation and motivational ability.

9. Demonstrate professional manner, oral and written communication, discretion, and appearance.

10. Demonstrate the ability to successfully collaborate, cooperate, and contribute to the organization and to colleagues.

Desirable:

1. High School graduate or equivalent vocational training.

2. Two to five years in a similar role in a hospitality environment. Deep knowledge of local goods and services in critical, along with established vendor contacts.

Essential Physical Abilities:

• Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, extending arms overhead, bending and stooping.

• Mobility: 25% of shift: May need to walk around the SPA to escort guest.

• Continuous Standing: May need to stand in the SPA from time to time.

• Environment Physical Job Requirement: Hearing, vision, speech, and literacy.

• One-on-one communication with guest, managers and fellow employees.

• Must be able to observe condition in the SPA.

• Must be able to read and generate reports. Must be able to effectively communicate in writing to guests, vendors and fellow employees.
