Custodian- Second Shift

Function: Directly responsible to the Director of Operations and the building principal for providing services that will afford students a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place to learn, play, and develop. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Assumes responsibility for the general security of the building.2. Assumes responsibility for the general fire safety of the building.3. Responsible for all general cleaning and maintenance of their job station.4. Performs cleaning services as necessary.5. Assists in snow removal.6. Requisitions, receives cleaning supplies and equipment, and maintains necessary inventories.7. Generally supervises and maintains the school grounds.8. Cleans and maintains all tools and equipment.9. Daily: Sweeps floors, empties waste paper baskets, dusts ledges, windowsills, and bookcases, and cleans glass partitions, sinks, lavatories, and water fountains.10. Washes, waxes, and seals floors according to prescribed procedures and schedules.11. Responsible for student safety12. Performs other general related tasks as may be assigned. Qualifications: A valid driver's license is required, and reliable transportation is required.High School Diploma or GEDPrevious custodial experience preferred
