Food Pantry Host (Volunteer Role)
Location: The Riverside Church in the City of New York (New York, NY)
Reports to: Supervisor of the Food Pantry
Department: Social Services
Schedule: Tuesdays to Fridays, 9:00am to 1:00pm
Salary Range: Unpaid

Job Summary:
Greet guests when entering from the lobby
Maintain order in the waiting area ensuring sufficient food supply for guests
Serve refreshments to guests waiting
Work collaboratively with other volunteers and/or the Supervisor providing instruction
Maintain a clean and safe environment in and around the food pantry
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all volunteers and provide guidance when necessary
Qualifications:
Availability once, or twice, a week
Strong interpersonal skills, whereby all people are treated with dignity, compassion and respect
Ability to effectively mobilize and collaborate with volunteers
Bi-lingual (Fluent English/Spanish) required
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Solid organizational skills are essential
