Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall appearance of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas of the hotel to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Room Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to hotel
standards.
Change bed linens, replace towels, and replenish amenities (soap, shampoo,
coffee, etc.).
Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures.
Remove trash and recyclables.
Inspection & Reporting
Inspect rooms for maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards.
Report any missing or damaged items to the supervisor or front desk.
Ensure all housekeeping equipment is in good working order.
Guest Service
Respond politely and promptly to guest requests.
Maintain a professional and friendly attitude.
Respect guests' privacy and handle lost-and-found items according to hotel
policy.
Compliance & Safety
Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
Adhere to hotel policies, including confidentiality and security procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred (hotel experience is a plus but not always required).
Skills:
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift to 25 lbs. (linens, cleaning supplies, etc.).
Stand, bend, and move for extended periods.
