Boka Restaurant Group and the Chicago Athletic Association are currently seeking an In In-Room Dining Server to join their team at the Game Room!

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 1 year of previous Server experience. The Server must be Flexible. This role requires overnight and daytime IRD shifts, which can include hours from 10 PM - 6 AM, 6 AM - 2 PM, or 2 PM - 10 PM. Additional shifts for on-call banquet server as needed.

General Description:
The Server Room Service is responsible for delivering food and beverages to guests rooms in a timely and
professional manner. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to
ensure that room service orders meet the quality and presentation standards of the hotel. The Server Room
Service is also responsible for setting up dining areas within guest rooms, assisting with special requests, and
providing a high level of guest satisfaction through efficient and courteous service.

Specific Tasks:
Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms promptly and accurately, ensuring the correct order and presentation.
Set up in-room dining trays, tables, or carts neatly, ensuring that food is served at the correct temperature and in accordance with hotel
standards.
Provide condiments, utensils, and any necessary items, such as napkins or beverages, to complement the meal.
Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive and courteous interaction.
Offer additional services, such as refills, clearing away trays, or providing any requested items during meal service.
Address guest inquiries or requests in a timely and friendly manner, providing a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ensure orders are taken and delivered according to guest specifications, including dietary restrictions, allergies, or special requests.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and room service staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
Verify orders and confirm any modifications before delivery to ensure all guest requirements are met.
Maintain the cleanliness of the room service trays, carts, and tables during and after meal delivery.
Pick up used trays or dishes from guest rooms after meals, ensuring the room is left tidy and free of clutter.
Ensure that all items are cleaned and sanitized after use, in accordance with BRG policies.
Present the room service bill to guests, ensuring accurate charges for food and beverage items.
Collect payment for services provided, including cash, credit cards, or room charges, ensuring proper transaction handling.
Record and report any discrepancies with billing or payments to the appropriate manager.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines when delivering food and beverages.
Ensure food and beverages are stored, transported, and served at the correct temperature to maintain freshness and prevent
contamination.
Work closely with other room service staff, kitchen personnel, and hotel management to ensure efficient operations.
Assist in maintaining an organized room service station and support other team members during busy periods.

Physical Requirements
Lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant, which may include stairs, uneven and slick surfaces
