Bar Back

Were seeking a skilled Part-Time Bar Back to join our team in the reopening of the River Center Markets Upper Bar under the new management of Marcus Hotels & Resorts. Youll be the one who sets the pace for the night; stocking, prepping, and keeping the bar ready so every guest gets their favorite drink without missing a beat. Located in the heart of Milwaukees Theater District inside the iconic Associated Bank Tower, the River Center Market sits at the crossroads of arts, finance, business, tourism, and dining. Overlooking the Milwaukee River, the Upper Bar offers sweeping city and river views, serving craft cocktails, fine wines, and premium spirits in a vibrant, sophisticated setting.

What will you be doing?

• Prepare perishable garnishes, fruits, and juices according to business levels.
• Assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the bar and bartenders.
• Retrieve and verify orders from storeroom for accuracy.
• Store products properly and in designated areas.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health standards in bar areas.
• Scoop and transport ice to service areas.
• Wash dishes and redistribute to appropriate areas as needed.
• Assist with additional duties as requested by management.

What do you bring to the role?

• Must be knowledgeable in preparation of alcoholic beverages including adhering to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts, understand portion sizes, and assist with inventory.
• Sufficient manual dexterity of hands and arms in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs, and extend arms overhead to stock items.
• Ability to comprehend and communicate in English in order to provide service as requested by bartenders, managers and guests.
• Ability to read and comprehend safe-handling instructions of products and equipment.
• Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 200 lbs.
