School Food Service Worker Positions in the Detroit Metro area

Serve breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria
Knowledgeable about the menu items and ingredients

Organize and work quickly. Know when to restock items

Keep warmers and food at proper temperatures (below 41 F or above 140 F).

Keep area clean and sanitized at all times

Help co-workers during rush time or whenever help is needed.

Assist with food check-in and temperature taking.

Assist with doing dishes/pot/pans and general clean-up.

Sweep and mop area at end of day and as needed throughout the service periods.

Assure proper portion control

Assist with recording leftovers on Production software
Requirements:

Ability to direct others to follow company policies

Ability to follow verbal directions

Self-motivated and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision

Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job duties

Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines

Time management skills

Organized and able to follow a schedule

Physically able to reach, stretch, bend and walk during daily routine, with ability to stand for long lengths of time; ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds.

Job Type: Part-time 5.5 hours a day

Pay: $16.00 per hour to start pay increase after probationary period of 60 days

Shift:7 to 2 Monday through Friday based on school calendar
