Shift: 2 nd Shift: 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $20.15 + $0.50/hr 2nd Shift Differential
Health & Welfare: $5.02 p/h up to 40hrs per week to be used for health premiums or cash in lieu

Scope of Work:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform various custodial tasks in keeping assigned offices, buildings, and facilities in a clean and orderly condition.
Responsibilities:
- Work involves, but is not limited to, the following:
- Perform periodic cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
- Duties may include performing unscheduled activities and notifying management of the need for servicing and additional cleaning.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
- Gather and empties trash to include trashcans in the proximity of exterior main entrances.
- Service, supply, and clean restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and drinking fountain fixtures.
- Dust office furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents in containers according to product specifications to prevent damage to floors, fixtures or furniture.
- Safely and efficiently operate vehicle for travel across project site to various facilities.
- Move equipment and supplies either manually or by using a hand truck.
- The incumbent is to perform equipment checks as required to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
- Notates any repair or maintenance needed and notifies theManager and/or Lead of any deficiencies prior to operation.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- One (1) year related housekeeping/custodial experience ispreferred but not required.
- Experience operating floor cleaning machines (e.g., buffers, scrubbers, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a structured environment.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, fumes, and potentially hazardous materials—including bloodborne pathogens and other biohazards—is possible and requires adherence to strict safety and infection control protocols.
All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include but is not limited to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and a 5-panel drug test, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
