Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our team and contribute to our corporate cafeteria. This role involves preparing meals by closely following recipes, cutting produce, meats, and vegetables, and assisting in making soups and salads. The Cook will ensure high-quality customer service and maintain effective communication with both staff and customers.
Responsibilities
Prepare meals by following detailed recipes.
Cut produce, meats, and vegetables with precision.
Assist in the preparation of soups and salads.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces and areas.
Provide quality customer service to staff and customers.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in food safety and the use of knives and cookware.
Strong cooking skills with a focus on food preparation and recipe adherence.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 6 months of cooking or food experience.
Culinary school or cooking school education is advantageous.
Experience as a line cook or in food service environments such as fast food, restaurants, or hotels.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic setting with two cafeterias on site at the Rio Rancho Intel site, with potential for expansion. Shifts available from Monday to Friday (1pm - 9pm, 6am - 2pm) and Sunday to Thursday (5:30pm - 1:30am, 6am - 2pm).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
